Measuring 42mm in length, the Bach 112xxx 90s tuning slide is made of yellow brass, a material known for its superior tonal characteristics and durability. The slide is also plated with a silver electroplating finish that not only enhances the slide's appearance but also provides an additional layer of protection against corrosion and tarnish.

Details:

The gold brass gooseneck / wrap really expands the sound of closed and gives it a warmer, wider feel than traditional. I bought this horn as a project horn, but another came up, and want to find good home for one. I am happy to answer any questions. The f lever was replaced with a modern one that isn't noisy or as loose the stock 42b lever.

Bach does not use gold brass in their components besides the bell unless specifically requested. Serial is 112x, which puts it in the early 90s. I'm selling my rare Bach 42b with a gold brass tuning slide, gooseneck, and closed wrap tubing. The yellow bell feels like a standard, medium weight with lot of core.

I think the gold brass components give this Bach 42b a more colorful sound than standard all yellow 42's. A lot of work has been put into the bell section this project. The gold brass gooseneck and f wrap were stripped to allow be reassembled without stress. There is slight wear on the lacquer and two tiny dents crook.

I had the lacquer on bell stripped to make it respond a bit or brilliantly against gold brass. The gold tuning slide softens and rounds attacks, which favors players who have a naturally pointed or bright sound.
