Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand polished to a good shine and in playable condition. It has a beautiful full playing tone and good power. With good compression. This horn comes in a used case and it also with large shank mouthpiece which may not be the one pictured.

There are various dings and scratching throughout mild pitting also. This is an attractive old bass horn in very nice condition. The instrument is made of yellow brass and solid nickel with a light gold wash on the inner bell. This vintage era horn has a friction fit connection.

The slide bore is .546, with 9 bell. The slide action is very good for the age/era of instrument with a slight hesitation at 6th position. It has matching serial numbers of 240x. Even though the vintage valve is slightly slow as old valves may be it still has solid intonation and slots very well.

All major dents are removed, joints re-soldered if needed, patches repaired necessary and the slides reworked. The stockings have some wear through.
