This is a great horn in nice condition. Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand polished to a good shine and in playable condition. The horn is silver-plated and the bell satin silver, with very nice engraving. There is an innovative screw in lock on the slide.
There is good intonation, slots well and has tone, typical of a grand. It is also a nice, soft player with good power when needed. It is a good all-around player. There is good compression and slots well.
The instrument is not lacquered; therefore, it may have to be polished periodically. The stockings and slide action are good for the age of instrument; there is a grab in 5-7 position.
