The sound is bold, yet not excessively dark. Its not a screaming lead piece, but lot of music doesn't require that scintillating sound. For years, i've supported the idea of branching out from Vincent Bach 3c/5c/7c monotony that predominated school band trumpet cornet sections. This example has good silver plating as well, but with a lot of nicks, dings, and light scratches.

Umi said much the same: for trumpet players who want a good all-around mouthpiece without too edge. Entirely accurate. Its not fuzzy or diffuse, but defined. The tone is vivid and full.
